Cullen was then reassigned to Worcester of the ECHL.

Cullen transferred from Bowling Green – where he had played one season under head coach Chris Bergeron and assistant Barry Schutte, last off-season.

He finishes his RedHawks career with no goals, three assists and a minus-2 rating with eight penalty minutes in seven games. Cullen was expected to quarterback Miami’s second power play unit and help MU in its offensive struggles.

Cullen joins former Miamians Andy Greene, Grant Hutton and Austin Czarnik in the New York Islanders organization.

Cullen missed last weekend for what was deemed ‘personal reasons’, and Bergeron said at the time it was likely Cullen had played his last game for the RedHawks.
