Ferris State announced Cisek is joining its staff as associate head coach, a title reserved for a team’s top assistant.

Cisek was hired by first-year up-and-coming FSU head coach Brett Riley, whose expansion Long Island University program has posted respectable records each season despite being an independent.

Miami and Ferris State have faced each other in the teams’ season-opening series the past four years, and MU hosts the Bulldogs to begin the 2025-26 slate.

Cisek was an assistant at Miami the past three seasons and landed key players like Michael Quinn and Casper Nassen. He handled the defensemen on the bench.
