Florida Panthers fourth-round rick Vladislav Lukashevich has committed to Miami.

The freshman defenseman, who was selected 120th overall in 2021, entered the transfer portal yesterday after going 1-6-7 in 29 games for Michigan State last season.

Prior to MSU, Lukashevich racked up 11 goals and 32 assists for 43 points in 54 games playing for Miami coach Anthony Noreen at Tri-City in 2023-24, his first season in North America.

Lukashevich, who hails from Magadan, Russia, played the previous four seasons for Yaroslavl Loko of the MHL, Russia’s version of juniors.

The 6-feet, 1-inch, 172-pounder is expected to bolster a Miami blue line that is returning just two players.

Lukashevich missed nearly a month to injury early last season, and James Connelly of Dobber Prospects said this about him in December:

“While Lukashevich’s offense has not translated as well to the NCAA, notching just two assists in 10 games, his ability to control a game through his skating, puck-moving, and defense has been just as effective. With Michigan State, Lukashevich has been a bottom-four defenseman this year and has looked like an efficient NCAA defender.”

Sixteen-year-old Maxim Dube also committed to Miami from Gatineau of the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League, a branch of the CHL (Canadian Juniors).

Dube played 56 of 64 games with the Olympiques and went 5-10-15, the most points of any 16-year-old on the team. The 5-feet, 9-inch forward was Gatineau’s first-round pick, 12th overall in the 2024 QMJHL draft.
