Miami will have a junior class in 2025-26.

Sophomore forwards Matteo Giampa and Doug Grimes were signed by the RedHawks from the transfer portal, the fourth and fifth players inked by MU from other Division I schools this off-season.

Giampa played the last two seasons at Canisius, scoring 18 goals as a freshman and going 8-22-30 last season. He led the Griffins in points both campaigns.

Grimes has dressed for 38 games with Boston University, scoring three goals and assisting on another. He racked up 24 goals and 25 assists for 49 points his final year of juniors with USHL Lincoln in 2022-23.

Miami only had three sophomore last season, and all are currently in the portal.

The RedHawks now have 20 signees — 13 forwards, six defenseman and a goalie. Nine players remain on their roster: Six forwards and three blueliners.
