Miami is expected to field a young team in 2025-26, but the RedHawks added two significant veterans to bolster their roster this weekend.

Senior Alaska-Anchorage’s Max Helgeson and Harvard grad senior Kyle Aucoin have both committed to the RedHawks out of the portal.

Helgeson went 8-11-19 in 34 games for the Seawolves in 2024-25, and the forward recorded 34 goals and 38 assists for 72 points in 99 games over three seasons for UAA.

Aucoin, a shut-down defenseman and son of 18-year NHL blueliner Adrian Aucoin, is a sixth-round Detroit Red Wings draftee. In four campaigns with Harvard, he notched two goals and seven assists in 90 games, with both markers and a career-high four points coming last season.
