The hockey transfer portal officially opens today, and nine Miami players with remaining eligibility have already entered.

According to Brad Schlossman of the Grand Forks Herald-Leader, forwards Tanyon Bajzer, Frankie Carogioiello, Johnny Waldron, Max Dukovac, Raimonds Vitolins, Artur Turansky and Teodor Forssander, defenseman Zane Demsey and goaltender Ethan Dahlmeir will not return to the RedHawks this fall.
Waldron, who completed his junior season, tied for the team lead in points with 20.
Nine seniors off last season’s 29-man roster are already in the pros or finishing their degrees. With these nine departures, that leaves Miami’s roster at 11, up to five of which are likely to officially hit the portal in the coming days.
Under new NIL-era guidelines, the RedHawks’ roster will be capped at 26 players next season, so as many as 20 new players are expected to join the team for 2025-26.
