Miami added its third skater since it hired Anthony Noreen on April 1, and its second from the transfer portal.
Senior-to-be Matt Choupani committed to Miami after racking up 41 points in three seasons at Northeastern.
Injuries cost the Montreal-born forward eight games last season, and he went 3-9-12.
In his sophomore season, Choupani scored 10 goals and assisted on nine more, finishing plus-17.
Choupani ends his Huskies career with 19 goals and 22 helpers in 102 games.
Quinnipiac forward Christophe Fillion also committed to Miami from the portal immediately following Noreen’s hiring, and Shaun McEwen — who plays for Noreen’s USHL Tri-City team — switched his commitment from UMass to Miami within a day of the coaching move going public last week.
Miami four-year defenseman Robby Drazner and three-year forward Thomas Daskas have entered the portal.
Drazner played 113 games, racking up six goals and eight assists with the RedHawks. He went 2-1-3 this season.
Daskas dressed for all 36 games in 2024-25, notching three goals and four helpers. He transferred to Miami after one season at Air Force and has scored nine goals and earned 11 assists in 93 contests with the RedHawks.
